Donor contribution and work in Albania, 2000-2015. All projects, programs and funding

Albania received substantial amounts of donors’ money in the last 14 years, though the trend has obviously gone bearish. In the year 2007, the total amount disbursed by all donors  to Albania was 400 mln Euros, while in 2014, it was only 278 mln. In 2015, this amount is expected to be further decreased in to only 225 mln.

The World Bank remains one of the major donors for Albania, while the disbursement trend has turned bullish in the last two years (aprx.  50mln each year) and it is expected to remain the same even in 2015.

German funds remains also steady and almost in the same quota as the WB. Italy also has taken e firm position at list till in 2015, thus being the third major  donor in terms of planed disbursements to Albania
