Digitalized decisions of the Municipal Council, 2007-2013, donated by INFOÇIP to Berat Municipality

BERAT, April 10, 2013 – The Centre for Public Information Issues, INFOÇIP, delivered to Municipal Council of Berat the database of its digitalised decisions, already uploaded online into www.vendime.al and also linked to the home page of the the Officila Website of the Berat Municipality . The donation ceremony was held in the Council’s meeting of Wednesday, on April 10^th, 2013. The director of INFOCIP, Mr. Gerti Shella, after addressing his speech to City Council, made a full demonstration of the database potential and relevant functions. He thanked the Mayor of Berat, Mr. Fadil Nasufi and the chairman of the Municipal Council, Berat, Mrs. Valbona Zylyftari for the constructive support provided during thisproces. Mr. Shella also thanked the secretary of the Berat Municipal Council, Mrs. Erinda Bumbli for the full technical support and access provided to the field digitalisation team of INFOCIP.

The database of Berat Municipal Council decisions was the second to be delivered, after Lushnja,  in the framework of the second phase of digitalization of the municipal councils’ decisions. It includes four municipalities, Fier, Vlora, Lushnja  and Berat. This important digitalization process is conducted by INFOCIP in the frame of the initiative “Open Local Governance through Innovation”. The digitalisation process is being supported by the Commission for Democracy of the US Embassy in Tirana.

All decisions registered online by INFOCIP are fully accessible online, searchable by keywords and can be downloaded free of charge and at any time by all interested parties. INFOÇIP is about to provide technical capacities and full training to the responsible personnel at Berat Municipality regarding the publication/independent online registration of the new decisions to be taken by Berat Municipal Council for the time being, following the donation of database by INFOÇIP.
